key won't turn

Not sure this is the correct forum, but searching threads did not give a lot of insight. 97 F150 xlt, went to get in this morning to go to work and the key wouldn't turn at all. Thought I had wrong or bad key but spare did same thing. Tried moving steering wheel, stepping on brake and moving shift lever but no change. My question is, Are there mechanical interlocks that may cause this or is it my tumbler assy. I would hate to drill it out to find an interlock adjustment problem. Also, my key has worked fine with no issues of binding or tightness. TIA for any insight you may have.

I had the same thing happen to my Jeep. I called a local locksmith and they took the cylinder out and the tumblers were bent. They fixed it for about $100. I would say call a locksmith and have them see if they can fix it.
