Hello everyone,
This morning I turned on my wipers and they went up but on the way down stopped. I can hear the wiper motor running but the arms don't move. Could this be a connection of some sorts and if so how do I access this connection to fix it? Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

your gonna have to take off the cowl grill right in front of the windshield. get a better look at it.possible a pin or something snapped off.

 

they went up but not down?? grab the arm try to move it up and down. if you can move it its probably stripped. are you in a cold climate? dont turn them on when they are frozen to the windshield.what year truck??

 

Yeah, probably stripped the wiper arm. They're pretty cheap and easy to replace.

 

sounds like the splines in the arm are stripped out. Shouldnt be too expensive of a repair. If you ever clear your window of ice, make sure you clean where the wiper arm goes down into the cowl too.

that happened to my old dakota plow truck. i just drilled a 1/4 inch hole and put a thru bolt in. the truck was a beater so i didnt care how it looked.
