Alarm/Remote Start Install?
I'm attempting to install an Autopage RS-860LCD Alarm Remote Start in my 2005 F-150. Now most of it work but there are two problems:
1) I placed a spare key under the ignition but the remote start is still has trouble starting the car.....any fix to my transponder key issue?
2) From what I've found it's recommended to connect the door open wires on the passenger and driver side to the alarm by diode isolating them. My question is which way the diode should go. I know that current goes from the blank end to the end with the white strip....my question is how the diodes should be oriented with regards to the factory harness.
Thanks.

Half figured out
Well for the diodes I think I have it straightened out. The isolation refers to keeping the 2 stock wires from shorting. So the diodes should be placed to prevent current from flowing from the harness wires to the alarm wire.
Still looking for an answer as to why placing a key under the ignition solenoid doesn't fix my transponder issue. Guess I'll have to get one of the PATS bypass modules.

first of all u did synchronize the key with the truck, or what i mean is put your first 2 keys in and then put your extra in to set the chip or if your working with the original the little transponder box should be all working correctly check your wiring for it if its all hooked up right it should be starting or atleast firing
