Do a search in the HVAC section. Look at blend door problems.

No problem mate! When you back out of this forum selection, its the 3rd one down in this same section.[HVAC- heating and A/C]. The blend door is part of your air system in the dash that controls air flow. Do you have one of them passenger door steering wheel trucks? When you come back look me up and I'll buy you lunch.

No. The blend door is related only to temperature control, not outlet selection.

Outlet selection is by vacuum motors that move diverter doors inside the plenum. Each position of the selector switch corresponds to a specific combination of vacuum motors and doors that get moved to specific conditions. If you have a electronic climate control, these selections are made by the control head which controls the vacuum motors.

Make a chart showing each selector postion and where the outlet air is actually flowing. From such a chart, it becomes easy to isolate which vacuum motor is not functional. Your owner's manual should give you the desired outlet for each postion, we need to know the actual selections

Also, let us know if if you have the manual or the automatic climate control.

Steve

control head

My 2003 supercrew with auto climate only blows air to the defroster when in automatic. It will switch to panel when selected however it will not in any case switch to floor even when the floor button is selected. I have read all of the posts on vacuum leaks but could not find it. Took it to the dealer and they said that the control head was bad. $ 800.00 was the estimate. Ouch!
Where is the control head and why so expensive?
