Facotry horn issues.
Hey i have an 03 supercrew and my horn is gone to ****. only half of it works. where are the factory horns actgually installed so i can check wiring issues and what not, possibly replace it. help!!!
i believe mine were behind the radiator support on the passenger side.i can't really remember though.i moved them behind the grille with my air horns and had a toggle switch to use either with the steering wheel horn switch. after a while mine did the same thing though. i thought it was the extra wiring with the air horns.they finally quit workin at all.

yeah i was affraid of that. im thinking about getting some train horns though, so there will really be no need for factory honrs. but thanks. oh, and can you send me a few pictures of your truck? or a link to your gallery
I have a 03' and just replaced the horn actually, the same thing happened the horn is on the passinger side above the fog lights it is held on by one bolt and with a long extention you can take it of thew the gap between the bumper and grill. Auto zone has replacements but you will have to cut off the existing wiring and spice in the new horn. They do make replacements with the proper harness u can order. I bought a low tone single replacment the stock one is and twin horn design and I dont know if it is one high one low tone horn or two lows but the single in my truck is a bit different sounding but not bad.

awesome! thank you so much. thats a big help. so you replaced yours with an autozone replacement and just spliced the wires together? i might do that, its a lot cheaper than train horns
Most part stores carry Fiamm brand horns. Their connectors match the Ford ones and you can bolt them into the Ford bracket. If you are replacing both be sure to get one high and one low tone horn.

JMC is right and that is the name of the horn that I have and couldnt remember. Yea I just spliced the horn used the new bracket and bolts then the old one to put it back on the frame. JMC is right though in saying that you can get the same connectors as OEM, the horn I got is the exact same w/o the special connectors he is talking about. Pretty sure I just repeated myself
