keyless entry

I just picked up a used '04 F150 XLT. No keyless entry remote came with the truck and I was wondering how I can tell if the system was ever installed in the truck to begin with? Thanks.

Cycle the key from the off position to the run position @ 8 times leaving it in run the last cylce. If your locks cycle (lock and unlock) then you have factory keyless entry.

You can have the salesman run the vin number and it will tell what came on your truck from the factory.
