Question Right turn signal not working???

I have a 1997 F-150 xlt 4x4. If I pull up the turn signal lever it will sometimes work but when I push the lever up to the held position as if im going to make a turn I can just hear a fast clicking. Anyone got a idea what this could be?
Thanks Guys

Fast click indicates high resistance in that circuit, which is designed to tell you a bulb is burned out, so check that first. Bulbs can work sometimes, but still have a broken filament, so consider just changing it regardless.
