My friend and I recently installed a DEI/Valet Remote Start on my 98 4.6L. It starts ok, but the problem is, once the truck starts warming up and the rpm drops the remote start will shut off. The tach wire is hooked to the red with white stripe wire coming out of a connector on the coil pack. The tach learning procedure was done when the engine was cold. I thought I would relearn the tach with the engine warm and that made matters worse. When I did that the truck would start but the starert stayed engaged! I let the engine cool down again and the relearned the tach again and now it starting again properly but still shutting off prematurely. Any suggestions?
