At wits end
At wits end
Started as a battery drain from an unknown source. I traced and rewired some of the add-ons I had installed. Got better, then came back. (3 days) Replaced the starter thinking maybe it had a draw, no deal. New alternator came next, all was well for 5 days. Read about the leaky wishield, so I removed and checked the GEM and fusebox. All clean, no corrosion or rust or any visual issue. Reinstalled the fusebox and gem and the alternator (1 week old) craps out. I can't find anything drawing power. If it gets driven daily, it doesn't die. But if you let it sit for more than a day, the battery goes completely dead, won't even work the keyless.
ANY suggestions other than GEM and other stuff I have already replaced? It has a brand new Optima yellow top in it (I replaced a 1 year old optima yellow top first thing, that ain't it) I am ready to set it on fire

Put an amp meter in series with either lead to the battery.
You have to see the drain that is occurring above the normal min of the PCM KAM, and any memories and subsystems that take currrent.
Wholesale replacements just waist money, time and work.
As you see the current draw that is excessive, remove leads, fuses etc until you get a direction the problem is in.
A battery just does not drain for no reason.
If the battery was old and had plate deposits shorting the cell structure, it would make the battery useless but since you replaced it, that's not an issue.
Look at it the better way.
Good luck.

I have isolated it to underhood fuse #6. It controls Radio, Premium Sound, CD CHanger, Rear Integrated control panel, Sub woofer power. I know it isn't the radio, as I took it offline and tested it. As far as I know, I don't have the premium sound package, the cd changer is disconnected since I have an aftermarket head unit, I don't see a problem with the rear controls and they are never used either, and the only thing I haven't messed with is the sub amp. Its the last thing I want to screw with since it requires the removal of all the rear panels to get to it. But it works fine and I don't hear it popping current. I know, go test it, damit
OK, pulled the plug on the premium sound amp, the sub amp, removed the cd changer, and rewired the radio. Still has a draw. Only logical conclusion I can now make is that somewhere, somehow a wire has been pinched. Now all I have to do is trace a mile worth of wires looking for the tiniest problem. Great. To top it all off, the charging system is taking a major crap. Two new alternators and still no charging voltage. I am at a loss.
