installing remote start, need help

installing remote start, need help

Well im tackling the job of doing my remote start. I have everything figured out, but I dont know what the manual is talking about for the "door Pin" What is this, and is it needed?

Not sure, If yuh need any pics , I got one in mine , Ford installed it tho.

But , I have the diagrams, etc. I've collected over the years..

it means connect it to the wire that turns the dome light on and off. It is a black with a blue stripe and can be found in eith kick panel.
Take your meter,set it to DC voltage, put the black lead on chassis ground,probe the wire. It will read +12v when the door is open and ~ 0V when closed

dont have the pats. Its been WAY too cold to work on it today
