Brake Lights Only Work With Turn Signals

I would suspect your front turn signal light bulb is out because I have experienced this. If not, then it could very well be something with the relay.

I know this thread is old ,but I spent all day trying to figure the problem on mine . It was at the hazard switch with the steering wheel off I was able to spray some cleaner in the switch and worked it in and out at least thirty times both lights work correctly now.
