Blinker Control
Blinker Control
Two problems i am having maybe someone has had the same. First when i push the button on my blinker arm to spray windshield wiper fluid sometime it doesn't work and i have pushing it in rather hard then it will finally work. Second is a problem that just began, when i try to put my right blinker on if i flip it all the way the blinker light on my dash doesn't come on and it just makes a fast clicking sound like the bulb is burnt but if i push it up until right before it clicks into place it works fine. Just wondering if anyone knows if i should go ahead and spend the 100 bucks on a new control or if anyone knows if it may be something else. any feedback will help, thanks
Sounds like a dirty Multi Function Switch.
There are a few threads around on removing it, and cleaning it to cure similar problems.
Here is a thread that gets into the windshield operation part of the MFS, but gives you an idea of how far you might need to tear into the switch, to decide if you want to spend the money, or try this first.
The windshield washer part is in detail, the turn signal part is at the base, which could be in the switch ( sounds like it ) or at the connector itself ( don't think this is the source ).
