I CAN NOT BELIEVE IT !!!! On my 1998 Expid. transmission selector switch, the dash light burned out. No big deal right ? WRONG ! Went to the dealer to get a replacment. After a lengthly search on the computer at the parts counter the answer was - It is not replacable. I am standing there with the 1/4 turn socket with the peanut bulb with the blue rubber cover over it, in my hand. Their instructions were to change the switch and it only cost 68.00 How about that!!! A $68.00 dash light bulb. SO ! I went to the local electronics supply and bought a 12 volt peanut bulb with pigtail wires at 75 cents. Lights again HAPPY HOLIDAYS !!!!

 

OMG!! I just read this after another thread on the subject.... with all the dumb stuff going wrong with my truck lately, I wouldnt be suprised if this blown bulb doesnt send the truck into "limp home mode" too LOL!!!
