2002 F150 Headlight Switch

I have a 2002 F150 that I just managed to break the **** off the headlight switch. When I removed the switch assembly I noticed there was an unused plug behind it with a red cap on it.....what is this for? My truck came factory equipped with foglights....so would this harness maybe be for auto lamps? Thanks.

I had a mechanic break my headlight **** off. I know this isn't related to your question, but did you happen to find out how much it is for a new one? My local dealership wanted $27 for that piece of plastic. I walked out onto their lot and pulled one off another f-150.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Without it, I have no idea what the connector looks like or what it might connect to. Sorry.
