Had the Ford remote installed by the dealer.Last week we had a cold snap and the temp got down in the teens.Went to start the truck and nothing,I could hear the remote cycling but it would not turn the motor over.this happened twice.Once it got back warn again works fine.Also it will start fine with the key.06 Super crew.Any ideas?The dealer said I wouls have to wait for another cold day and leave it with them to see if they could find anything.

I would try resetting back to learne mode and letting it relearn idle rpms. I have to do that once in a while. Mine blinks 4 times when it's f'ed up - it's easy to tell - It blinks just once before start.

 

I have the Gold remote start and alarm from ford and it did the same thing,hot it would start and cold it didn't.They had too replace the main brain to it.Works great now for over 3 years.It has a life time warrenty on it,have them replace it.

 

Mine is the silver model.I called the tech line number I found in the manual and the guy said they have had some "limited" instances like mine.Any way he said the fix was to double wrap the pickup wire that goes around the ignition key cylinder.Thanks for the replys guys.also no cold weather here for a while so I will just wait I guess.
