Can the heated seat module be swapped from the other seat?

Took our 2001 Supercrew to the dealership to find out what was wrong with the heated seat on the driver's side. I was hoping to just take the one from the passenger side and install on the driver's side. But they said the module was bad, and that the one from the passenger side cannot be used in place of the driver side. Is this true or are they BS'ing me? Anyone have a diagram and/or pictures of what this entire setup looks like? What the module looks like, and how I replace it?

While I don't have the pciture of the actual element, but the connectors are 1:1 between the drivers and pass side:

I don't know what the heated seat cushion pad costs, but the 60/40 seat cushion pad for a XLT is $ 148.15 list, $111.11 ext price.

This is the pad itself, the heated seat cushion pad is not listed, you will need to drop them an email and ask ( any of the big 4 online parts places. ).
