Remote Start Run Time

Hi all,

I did some searching and couldn't seem to find the answers I'm looking for.

I have an '05 F-150 and have a factory remote starter kit installed (boy it's nice up here in Canada in the middle of winter). The truck starts fine with the remote starter but shuts off after 10 minutes. When it's -30 out, 10 minutes doesn't even get the heat gauge to move off the peg.

I read my remote starter manual and it says the remote can have the truck run for 15 minutes but I have to bring the truck back to the dealer. Is there any way I can re-program the run time? I had a Viper remote system in a '98 Chevy and it used to run for 20 minutes (and I could even program it to start every hour for 20 minutes for an 8 hour time period). I wish the Ford system was a little more user friendly.

Thanks for any input!
