Jump it directly form the Battery.
Would a jump direclty from the battery to the pump be to much voltage?

Just an FYI on the same topic. I had the exact same issue, would not idle. Sure enough I pulled the IAC and it was very dirty with Carbon build up. Installed a new one and it's all good.
