Foglamps

Hey just got a 98 ford f150 xlt and it does not have fog lamps, ive noticed the wiring for them is behind the bumper, do i just have to get the OEMs, plug them in, and thats it? thanks

if you have the wiring there and a switch for it then i dont see why not. id try it. if it doesnt work then im sure theres some simple solution such as a fuse missing.

I seem to recall 2 threads, as of late, where the owner tried this, and after installing the fog lamp relay, the fog lamp relay fuse, and fog lamp fuse, they still did not work.

Seemed like there was part of a harness missing between the headlamp switch and the fuse panel.

Don't know if you want to dive into it, and buy the parts. If so, let us know and we can get into it.

You will need to buy a new main headlamp switch for a 1998 MY truck ( not one for a '00+, they are different switches ).

Here is the 1999 EVTM 86-2 ( fog lamps ) which is the same as 1998 :
