PIAA replacement bulbs

Do they make a difference if you replace the factory high/low beam? Anyone tried these in the factory fog lights? Thanks

While I have not tried the PIAA bulbs, I have used the Sylvania SilverStars with good luck, both in my '01 and the new H13 version for the '04+ MYs.

Don't know what year your truck is, as your profile is not completed.

I first tried the Hoen H13 bulbs, some blue bulb HID want-a-bes, really junk.
I also installed the Hoen Fog bulbs, which did a good job of emulating the PIAA Ion Crystal fog bulb, but they did not put out much light.

On my '01 I went factory to SilverStar Bulbs.

On my '06 I went factory to H13 Sylvania XtraVision, which did help a bit with the light color and pattern. At the same time I installed the 9145ST SilverStar bulbs in the fog lamps ( this is a higher wattage, 21W vs. 42W is the rating I seem to recall ).

Onde Sylvania releasd the H13ST ( SilverStar bulbs ) I went to Autozone, put down my 45.00 and got them. Big difference over the XtraVision, which were better then factory Sylvania bulbs.

Driver's side is the H13ST bulb, the pass side is the H13 XV bulb. Notice the color difference:

While this is not a Yes or no on the PIAA bulbs, it will give you am idea of the color delta to a XV bulb, which is about 50% better light color then factory.
Using the above as a starting point, I would say the factory bulbs to the SilverStars is almost like comparing the old sealed beam to the Hallogen bulbs of yester-years ( yes I'm that old ).

Just a look at what the SilverStar bulbs will give you. a whiter white, and no loss of beam pattern, or light output.
