disable anti theft in 99 F150?
Have a 99 F150 and every time it rains the truck will not start and the anti theft light comes on. Once the weather dries up the truck will fire right up and the anti theft light is off. It was a rebuilt when I bought it and was poorly rebuilt at that. I am guessing moisture it getting in somewhere and shorting it out.
Is there a way to take out or disable it to see if that fixes the problem?

Nope.
If you have tried 2 different keys that are programmed for the truck you can :
1. Take it to the dealer, to have them diagnose it with the PDS / IDS equipment
or
2. You can take a stab at a few parts, and see if you can do it on your own.
PATS issues can be rather tricky to diag, and without a PDS/IDS unit to do the testing, you will be doing the Remove and Replace thing.
You could take a look under the steering column cover, to see if the PATS transciever is loose. If this is loose, it could cause issues with reading the RFID on the key.
If you don't see anything amiss under the steering column cover, we can have a go at repalcing parts.
One thing, is there any sign of a water leak around the GEM / Central Junction Box ( pass compartment fuse panel ) ?
If your windshield is leaking, it can cause all sorts of problems. Teh sure fire way to check this is to unbolt the fuse panel from the mount, and seperate the GEM / CJB to check for fuzzy green corrosion.
