I just installed a Autometer Trans Temp in a steering guage pod. When the lights are on and I do not have the guages on full bright the guage flickers. If the guages are full bright it does not. The power is from the reo-stat switch where the directions said to get it from. The guage is a Autometer Lunar with LED light. I installed the dash guages at the same time and they work perfect, but they pull power from the pigtail.
