Trick to plug access on 1995 4.9L straight six?

Most of the plugs are readily accessible, but #1 seems buried behind the Power steering pump/AC compressor, etc. and it's brackets. Is there some kind of trick to getting to this plug? Any other tips for the job readily accepted.

It seems one approach that works for people is to place a chunk of padding or thick blanket over the radiator, etc. to lay on while accessing the plugs near the rear of the engine.

Silly me

Once I actually got the old wires off, I found, like you said, an extension will fit next to the brace. As it turns out, #2 was the toughest one, though #6 was a bit of a challenge, too.
