Bizarre Lighting Question

This one may stump everyone here...I have an 06 Lariat SCab...love it.

One weird "problem", although in the grand scheme of things it's not that big of a deal, I have been experiencing with my dash display...

I recently noticed, when driving at night with the headlamps on, that the speedometer needle barely lights up (should light up red). It does light up, but not near as bright when compared to the fuel gauge needle, temp needle, etc.

I noticed this because I specifically recall a buddy of mine commenting when I first bought the truck on how bright the needles light up. Now the speedometer seems to be about 50% as bright as the others in the dash display.

Are my old eyes failing me, or have any of you experienced this?

id say its prolly something as simple as a bulb that went out in your display.. there are like 5 bulbs that try to light up the gauges equally therefore one bulb goes out and that area is dimmer.. hope this helps
