Wutz up guys well i just bought a new 2006 F150 Larriet 4X2 Black on Black i really like this truck i want to put a really nice Remote Starter and a Security Alarm...the question is which brand and model on the market is the best for my truck? and if any other advice to modify my truck just let me know thanks. So many choices, it will come down to features required/wanted, and budget. Many people on this forum have Code Alarm model CA670's, and another fav is the Viper line. The Viper 791XV is a nice unit, but for maximum range and features, the new 5900SST looks super hot with a claimed range of up to one mile!

I have seen the Code Alarm on evilbay for $140 shipped, and the 5900 for $290 shipped. Installation is probably going to be in and around the $100-$200 range, depending on what features you want.

There are many other brands and models, but those are 2 very popular and proven choices.

i just had a viper 5900sst installed its so nice i love it... it works so far away would highly recomend it even got the window up and down things added and a whole bunch of extra sensors
