Odometer fix short lived, what gives?

I fixed my odometer as described in the famous tech article posting and it worked great for a month, then it came back. What causes this you think? It wasn't a big deal to fix the first time, and 4 times easier today but not sure why it keeps happening? Maybe this time it'll be good, added alot of solder and made sure it was covered, even did the same to the one next to it as it looked cracked. Great fix for those who want to try it but at least if it happens again you'll be able to fix faster. Just remember patience and a pen like magnet to aide in removing/installing cluster screws. When it happens, you'll understand.

As an electronics tech i say do all the joints not just the ones look bad. Be careful not to put too much solder on it though as you could cause a short circuit.

OK, I did one other because it looked bad, but all the others looked fine. Before, I think I heated existing, layed down some new but not very much. This time it looks better. I guess the biggest thing is that fixes it one way or another.
