Eletrical problem

I inherited a 1998 F150 Nascar by marriage, while attempting to repair a rear slider leak when it rains, the presure switch on the master cylinder began spontainiously smoking from under hood. The truck was off and parked. I had the cargo/outer dome/brake light diassembleled, while fixing anothed leak into it. I am about to start working on this problem, any one have any real good advise about this problem? In Other words HELP!

You need to have your Ford dealer perform the recall repair. In the mean time, disconnect the switch.

The recall has been widely publicized for over a year, I'm surpised your spouse hasn't had it fixed already.
