Drivers Side Power Window Problem

Hello-

Everything was working fine this morning, I get in the truck to leave work today and the driver side power window won't go down. I hear a clicking sound come from the dash area when I repeatedly press the button and let go. I pulled the fuses and the visually look fine, but have not replaced any. All the other windows work fine from the doors and from my drivers side. Does anyone have insight? I'm hoping theres a quick fix and the window motor isnt shot. Thanks guys.

MS

The motor's probably bad.

Try holding the switch in the position you want the window to go in, and while holding it, slam the door shut pretty briskly. Sometimes the contacts in the motor get worn, and a few love taps will get them acting right again temporarily.

Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. Clicking was the relay I believe. Pulled the panel and had power all the way to the motor. A tap on it got it to work once but it was bad. Reasonably sure the regulator was bad as well. As a rule of thumb when I find rivets I take it to the shop. $325 and a extra day for them to get the part in and all is well.
