I am curious how difficult it would be to modify my fog lights to come on with the automatic head lights. I have owned a few vehicles now with fog lights, one of them a 2001 Ranger. All them powered up the fog lights as soon as the head lights came on. In fact, if I did not want the fog lights on, I had to manually disable them via a button/switch/etc... I would not mind so much except that the combo turn/pull-switch for the head lights and fog lights on my '99 F-150 feels like it could break very easily. Is there a known mod for what I want? I can not imagine ever not wanting the fog lights to be on when my headlights (in low beam) are on. I really do not get what Ford was thinking here...

While he did not take the switch apart, I did. I found it much easier to perform the mod with the unit apart. Some 2 stage plastic glue (Loctite) was used to put it back together on my 00 Expedition. So far so good with no problems. Good luck.
