Unhappy strange starter switch problem

this is about my 90 mustang gt. recently i started having trouble with my fan blower and turn signals not wanting to work. i noticed that if i turned the key back just a tad that they would work fine. finally after a couple of weeks of doing this now the car dies as soon as i release the key after starting. if you hold the key a tad forward after it is running it will stay running. i thought the key tumbler had to be the problem since these other things seem to work when it is toggled a bit. needless to say, i replaced the key tumbler and it didn't help a bit. any suggestions on what could be the problem? i thought maybe the ignition switch could be the next thing to try but wanted some advice from someone who may know a little about this sort of thing. thanks in advance. if you want to email me direct, it is alvin.2@netzero.com
