Ok guys, so I'm in California for vacation, and my ride is my aunt's new 2005 (or 6?) EB Expedition 4x2. It's great, except for when the truck is off and you press the unlock button, it honks twice. It's even more annoying when you have to press the unlock button twice to unlock all of the doors, and it honks four times. How do I disable this feature? Thanks...

Check the manual. Usually you have to hold the lock and unlock buttons together for a certain amt of seconds to switch it to quiet mode. Mine doesnt honk unless I repeatedly push the lock button.

 

I had same problem went to radio shack and bought a chirper alarm...about 5.00 hooked the horn wire from remote to it sound great.

 

After talking with Quintin, apparentley this isn't normal It shouldn't do it, and there's no procedure in the owners manual to undo it. So, I guess the dealer will do it.
