Keyless remote question

I have an '02 F250 & '06 F150. Is there any way to program the fobs to where one works on both trucks?

Yes. RTFM. Check your owners manual. Ususally it involves placing the key in the off position. Then cycle it to the run position. Do this 8 times within 10 seconds ending in the run position. So OFF-RUN, OFF-RUN, OFF-RUN, OFF-RUN, OFF-RUN, OFF-RUN, OFF-RUN, OFF-RUN. The power locks should lock unlock to indicate that the system is in the program mode. Quickly press one button on each fob that you want to program. This must be done withing 20 seconds so have all your fobs ready. This procedure erases all fobs in memory so you will need the fobs from both trucks.

Here is why it is a bad idea to have this setup. You come out in the morning and press the unlock button for your truck and it unlocks both trucks. You get in and forget to relock the other truck.

Here is a thread on the topic.
It was an Escort and a F-150, but all the same, 4 fobs programed on 2 Fords.

Bit of the Manual cut & paste into the thread.

It is too bad they don't make (at least I haven't heard of it) a fob that has two sets of controls on it. It gets cramped enough in my pocket with one, I would hate to have 2.

This is actually programming one fob to work on both Ford vehicles. Don't know if I missed the point of your statement ( talking about 2 different makes ? )

K, I have done the procedure before, didn't know if that would work or not. About both unlocking, not a concern for me at this point.
