Question My Gear Shift will not move!!!

Hey can I please have some help if anyone has had this problem.
my gear shift won't move, my brake lights will not work. I put a new fuse on
for electronic engine control; automatic transmission shift interlock because
this fuse is blowing out every time i step on brake to see if I can shift gears
I have a "94" f-150 series doublecab white 302 engine:

Since the fuse blows when you step on the brakes, you have a short cicuit on that portion of the circuit.

Pull the high stop lamp and inspect it for corrosion. Do the same for each of the tail lights.

Most Fords have a switch position just before RUN where you can move the shifter out of PARK into NEUTRAL. Don't know if the 94 had it or not. Try it ans see. The engine should still crank while in NEUTRAL.

Hey yall just thought I would let anyone that has had this problem for them to check there wires on there tailhitch (hope that's how u spell it) connectors
it was cut and it was touching the bumper and making the fuse blow when I would step on the brake. That is why my gear shift would not move. So hopefully this will help someone out in the future
