Won't STart - clicking behind fuse panel
I took my 2001 F150 SC and got 22 bags of mulch. Parked in my driveway. 10 mins. later went to move it, started it and heard a "ka-chick" in the dash. It wouldn't start.
Nothing electrical works. I hear a rythmic clicking behind the psgr compartment fuse panel. All the fuses look good (both locations). The rythum changes from time to time. I took out Relay 1 and 2 in the psgr compartment fuse panel and the clicking stopped but still no start.
When I use the door locks they make a slight nosie but no change. In trying to start the truck when I turn the key I can see the ABS light flicker on/off. In finding that spot the ABS light will stay on and the radio will come on. But in finishing the turn it will not start.
I should add that basically nothing works while the clicking is happening.
I waited a while (hour maybe) went back out and the doors were locked. So I tried to start it again. I heard the same "ka-chick" from the behind/dash engine area and the clicking started again. Nothing.
Any ideas guys?

This sounds a lot like the windshield leak / soaked GEM.
Take a look up behind the dash, to the CJB ( central Junction box = pass compartment ) to see if you see any green discoloration. You might want to take a mirror with you, and look around.
This list seems, on the surface, to be the list of items that stop when the GEM takes a powder.
Take a look around, and let us know what you see.

Check your battery cables. We had this happen to our Jeep Grand Cherokee once. The negative cable came loose, and all you could hear was a fast clicking sound coming from inside/under the dash.

I doubt it's the windshield leaking into the GEM. I can spit more than the the rain we've had here in Texas.
I'm going to 1) look at the battery and then try and jump the battery. If that works then I'll buy a new battery and let you know.
