Question Electrical Question 2000 F150

I am not a mechanical guy but I need to figure out what is wrong with my truck. The fuse in position 13 (interior fuse box) is blown. Whenever I replace it, the new fuse blows as soon as I put it into place. Also, the turns signals, brake light & hazards are non-functioning. I do not know if it is relevant but I have not taken the truck to the dealer for the crauise control recall.

I apprecaite any help because once the trouble shooting goes from replacing fuses to anything more complicated, I get clueless .

Thanks!

i think f13 is related to the cruise circuit.

unplug the harness on the master cylinder and then replace the fuse.

go to the dealer and they will install a harness with a fuse and replace the switch if necessary.

here is a thread about the cruise recall

Hey lees99f150! Thanks for the help! I unplugged the harness, replaced the fuse and everything is working!

Is it OK to let it hang until Monday when I can get it to the dealer?

Thanks Again!!!

leave it unplugged. just make sure it doesn't get in the way of the steering shaft of burn on the exhaust manifold.

Yeah, it sure would be a bummer to remove one fire hazard only to have the sucker burn up from something else.....
