out of line window
i just got through replacing my actulator or whatever u call it............and i took the left window guide bolt off and moved the guide around a bit and put everything back together and the lock works perfect but now the damn window rolls down and up real slow like its caught up.............is this something i can fix or am i better off takin it to a glass place?
Okay, fixed mine.
Did you take the guide and bend it way over till it was basically horizontal to get it out of the way like I did? If so, you probably did what I did and pulled the clip away from the door at the top of the metal portion of the guide. Took a couple minutes to find it, but once it's set back in position and bolted down, no more problems.
If this doesn't make sense, and you've looked at it for a bit but couldn't figure it out, let me know and I can try and explain it some more.

Well, is the guide just kinda floppy like right now? can you bend it up to a horizontal position? If so, it came unclipped from the door. There is a clip at the top of the metal part of the guide, just after you can't see easily into the hole in the door. If you put a finger or two on the backside of the guide and slide them up the metal part, you'll run into the clip. Now the door itself has a little built in bracket that this metal part of the guide sits in (you'll have to feel all this by hand, or take the rubber trim off the door at the bottom of the window and look down that way with a light). In order for it to sit flush though, the clip must go on the outside of the little bracket. Once it's clipped into position, just run you bolt back in and your good to go.
The clip is pushing the guide in too far so there isn't enough room to accomodate the width of the window. It took a little while to figure it out becuase watching it go up and down bared no clues. Everything was warping and bending so I couldn't tell what the cuplrit was.
If you still can't figure it out, i gotta do the actuator onthe other door tonight so i could possibly take a couple pics, if I'm not under a lot of pressure to be speedy.
