electric door locks 2000 f 150

the fuse for my electric door locks is blowing once in awhile. I have traced the wiring from both doors the best I could and no obvious shorts to ground. I do not have keyless entry just the switch on the door. I know the actuators can get slugish but can they go bad and blow the fuse...just wondering if this is a common problem. Also if actuators have to come out are the rivited in on the 2000. Also are actuaters available aftermarket or just from Ford ?? thanks

They are not rivited on but they snap into place. You have to remove the door latch to remove them. I installed after market ones on mine. I attached the lever/rod to the locking **** shaft and screwed the actuator into the inside of the door.
