I have a 99 F-150 truck, and 2 years ago driving down the interstate, some smoke came from the passenger side (A/C on) I pulled over as soon as possible and notice that the blower motor cable was fried. Around $40.00 later and a big scare the A/C was back in business.
I had heard some Contour?Mystique/Taurus and Sables had a recall which includes replacing the blower motor resistor and harness.
Has anyone experienced this problem? Not a bad idea to inform you guys. After all this could had cause my truck to catch on fire.
