Question recall, cruise control

I had the recall done placing the harness on the switch at master cylinder.
1st kit only put harness in place. 2nd kit had harness & switch. i have them both. The problem is now i can not get brake & abs light to go out when running. At first i tried the connectors & lights would stay off for a short amount of time. now that doesn,t even work. Any ideas as to the problem?
i am just short of removing the light bulbs. Every thing else seams to be working.

Take it back to the dealership and have them fix it since the problem did not occur before the work was done on the cruise control fix. Just a suggestion I guess.

ABS and brake light on

That is rather strange that they replaced the harness 1st and then added a switch and harness...
I am a tech at a Lincoln/Mercury dealership and I do this recalls at a daily basis. When the "speed control deactivation switch" 1st came out they instructed us to ONLY disconnect the harness if the brake switch was NOT leaking, until a part was available, & if the brake switch was LEAKING to replace both (Switch and new jumper harness).
I am not sure what could had cause your truck to have that problem; however, check the master cylinder float, if the brake fluid level is low or if it is saturated it will jammed and sink. causing the brake red light to come on, and when this happens it will automatically disable the ABS system, causing the amber ABS light to stay on. You have to fix the red before the amber.

Hope I could help!
