Stupid odometer

Every now and then my odometer craps out and turns off(it's digital). When it turns off I hit the clear screen over the gauges and it turns back on, what u guys think is causing this nuisance of a problem?

Do a search on here, there is a lengthy detailed fix for this, maybe someone has the link for it. Mine does the same damn thing, for like 3 years now, never if it's cold inside the cab.
