Keyless entry
How do I know if my truck is equipped with keyless entry. I bought it used and it has power locks but all I was given were keys. Is there some simple check or some web site that I can look to see what this truck originally came with? Thanks in advance for your help!!

Take a look in your owners manual on page 46, there is a procedure for reporgramming transmitters.
If you don't have a manual with it, you can download the pdf :

If you want a paper copy, there are sometimes used ones on eBay, or you can get a new one at www.helminc.com
If the door lock/unlock after the 8 cycles, there is a RAP installed, and you can add up to 4 transmitters. If it does not go into programming mode the first time try it again. It took me 3 times to get into programming mode to add a 3rd fob to my 2001, and I did not think I did the cycle any different, but I did as the first 2 were no correct, but the 3rd was.
If you download an owners manual for a 2001, the directions are a bit more detailed on page 69, for this procedure.
