Big electrical problem
Big electrical problem
Been a while since i have been on but here is my major issue. I lost my cluster gauge lights and all of my parking lamp lights. All I have are headlights, highbeams and brake lights. My interior lights work but just not the cluster guage lighting. Everything else appears to be working except the speaker that tells you you left your lights on, that only works of the keys are in the ignition not if you leve the lights on. Any suggestions before I end up spendign big money at the dealership? I checked the fuses but they all seem to be fine, no burnt ones found. I think I did it when I was working on my LED taillights but I don't remember crossing any wires.
I checked all of the fuses again today and I have no power at all to fuse 18, 21 & 22. 18 is the interior light tail lamps, anyone know where I can go from here and should I just try to run a new power to that feed.
You might have a breaker that has tripped. I had problems with my trailer lights and found the referenced fuse ok. I continued to read and found a breaker out under the hood that was also referenced. It was tripped. All you do is unplug it and replug it, this will reset that circuit. Might be your problem.
Thanks,
Dan Benson

How is fuse #7 in your power distribution box.
My 1999 owners guide says Horn but my Haynes manual shows fuse#7 seems to supply power to the main light switch and then maybe to fuse #18.
The headlight switch is a multi pole switch so you might have a problem in the headlight switch.

Fixed it, thanks, I didn't physically check that fuse just ran a test light over it and saw it had power. Thanks for the response. After buying the new fuse I purchased a se of Silverstars for the fog lamps and the headlamps too, wow are those clean, clear and sharp.
