Alright, Ive got a 1980 150. The truck has been rebuilt off the frame and so on. I had numerous wiring problems when i first got the truck. My latest upgrade was a new tank, sending unit, and gauge. I bought an aftermart autometer gauge.All of the dash lights, including the new gauge cluster worked fine by just pulling out the switch and they would come on with the running lights. Like Normal. No problems for about a month. After running all new wires for the gauge, and getting the backlighting hooked up, I turned the key to on. I had a spark come from the fuse box, the gauge works... but i now have no dash lights. I checked the fuses and nothing is blown! So im messing around and i got the lights to work... The only way the dash lights will work is if you turn the switch all the way over to where you engauge the dome light. and then pull out to the running light position..... Wow never seen that before! I dont know if i burned something up? If pull the switch out to the running light position and then turn it all the way left to engauge the dome light, my dash lights will come on. Im lost here guys....
