Exclamation Guages Going Crazy

It seems that every other time I drive my 2002 F150 7700, the guages will start going crazy. Either they won't register or they will go up and down the whole time I am driving. Has this ever happened to anyone else? If so, please tell me what to do to fix it.

Wacky guage operation usually indicates a problem with power going to the instrument cluster.

I'd have the alternator, battery, and cables checked to see if they are up to par.

I second the battery being bad. Also check the alternator.
