wireing question

I'm about to install piller pod in my 2003 screw this will have two gauges a trans. temp. gauge and the other a voltage gauge. I assume that the gauges will instruct me as where to hook them up at. My question is what is the best way to run the wires through the firewall and also how can i set it up so that the gauges will iluminate when the dash lights are on?

thanks

To run the wires through the firewall, on my '01 just above the steering wheele went through the firewall, there is a vent with a rubber cover on it. You can get wires run through this, without damaging it.

I ran my underhood temp probes, fog and drivng lamp wiring through this hole. It is like 1.25 to 1.5" in diameter.

The illumination on the gauges, you can either take the feed from the headlamp switch, or use the Instrument panel dimmer switch, so they dim at the same rate as the cluster.

Once you figure out which way you want to go, if you don't get it with a meter, post back and one of us should be able to get the 2002 EVTM wiring color codes.

Good luck
