aiming off road lights?
I just installed a set of 5.5 dia off-road/driving lights how should these be aimed, the manufacturer didn't offer anything in the instructions. Are aiming these a personal preference or do they need to be aimed with the low beams, high beams, or with out any lights on at all? They are mounted on a custom bracket just above the front license plate of a 1997 F-150 4X4.
This is comment only.
First, off road lites are just that, off road use.
If they have no lens that shape their beam to any reasonable degree, then you can't do much aiming that will not blind oncoming vehichles on regular roads. Since I don't know your lites, just be awhere of this line of reasoning and is why the maker will not give any instruction. They are not legal for regular road use.

I have 6 forward facing offroad lights, I just point them all over. I have different styles on the roof and on the bumper... I think the ones on the roof are more wide-area lights whereas the ones on the front are more tight. KC-Daylighter or bust on my rig.
i have 2 on my push bar and 4 on my light bar
as for the over head lights: outside set-- aimed toward edge of road just above stock high beams, inside set-- aimed over top of stock high beams to add extra lighting at night
on my push bar they are aimed a little higher than the high beams and so they shine a little wider on the road too
HEY UrbanCowboy, your truck is set up a lot like mine, and wow i like the looks of yours, i cant tell that it has a 3 inch body lift on it tho, or do you have bigger tires
