Light under Toneau cover

Well I have my cover on but I want to be able to see in the weee hours of the morning when I am opening the back to get out my hunting gear and preparing for a hunt. So want to install a light under there. Just curious if someone has already done this or do they make something like this already? I want to put a switch in the cab to be able to turn it on and off from inside the truck. Anyone have one already pictures would be greatly appreciated and any info. How to run wires what fuse to use in the box etc. etc.
Thanks in advance

Ive got these pictures that i saw from this site awhile ago. I dont have a cover yet, but i kinda looked into this.
On ebay you can buy led, or neon kits that are like 10 or 12 or 14 inches long and they are easy to wire up. I know on my truck there is a power port in the back right corner of the cab (inside) And just behind where the jack is stored, there is a plastic vent that can be seen behind the carpet insert. If you pull back the carpet you can see that you can run the wires out through that vent.
You could also wire it into the dimmer switch, that when you turn it all the way up it turn over head lights, and the bed flood light (3rd brake light) on, the bed lights come on too

Or get the power from the tail lights and have a seperat switch, or i saw one guy that had a switch that worked like refridgerator, where when open, the lights come on.

I hope this helps.

I went the lazy way. I picked up a Coleman tent light. It has strong magnets that hold it against the bed. I have it mounted to the back of the bed, to the left of the tailgate, facing forward. Touch the switch and it gives me enough light to chase down a loose can of something or to see what's in the bed.
Well under twenty bucks at Wally World, or any other big discount place.

Chris,

Wow wish I would of read your post sooner. Now its back to Advance auto parts to return the 2 lights and the wires and the clamps and the toggle switch. Called up local wally world an sure enough they have those and I can get 3 of them for what I just paid to hard wire in. Wasn't looking forward to doing the wiring. Thanks for the great info. Something so easy and I can pick it up and move it around if I want to position the light somewhere else too.
