I noticed my gauge when at 1/4 tank seems to all of a sudden turn on the fuel light and drop quickly. When full, it will bounce from over fuel to alittle under fuel and move when you bang the dash above it. Is that a loose connection behind the cluster or short in the gauge?

I noticed that when i also get on the pedal hard, the motor was cutting out and bucking. I replaced the Wires/Plugs/fuel filter, and it seemed to cure it. Now 1000 miles later and its back but less than before. I have 125K on the Pump & Sock in the tank, could that cause a miss at hard accelleration?

its a 6-7 year old truck so don't hit the dash.
the bucking sounds like a miss.
