Cigarette lighter wires

Cigarette lighter wires

There are 3 wires for this thing...anyone know which one is hot and which one is ground?? There is no "red" one.

i haven't seen an 04 one but generally the center is hot and the one what connects to the housing is the ground. get a multimeter or a test light to check.

I haven't seen your specific application either, but what has already been posted is correct. The only thing I'll add is that the third wire might be for illumination. If there is a lighted ring around the cigarette lighter, that's what the third wire is for. When checking with a multimeter, that wire should only be hot when the lights are on.
