Back Up Light Relay

Need assistance,, I am currently in Germany with US Army and own a 2003 Eddie Bauer Expedition. I have made several expensive phone calls to Ford dealers in the US attempting to find Relay 301 that controls the backup lights and towing light plug. All have told me on the firewall behind the brake booster but it is not there. Would anyone know where this relay is located. My backup lights aren't working, so I am trying to continue to troubleshoot the electrical. I do have a plastic box behind the battery on the passenger fender well and was wondering if that might be it.

Thanks,

Ed

see this post in the towing section for the relay locations.

If your expy backup lights don't work then its not the towing relays. they use different circuits.

It could be the fuse in the cab, the DRT/back up switch (Digital Trans Ranges sensor), bulbs or a wiring problem.
:santa:

Oh the fuse box under the hood is also called the power distribution box. It is on the driver side under the hood in front of the booster on the fender.
